CERT

The CERT team is composed of community-minded volunteers who are interested in assisting the city and their neighbors before, during, and after a disaster. To become a CERT member, you must attend a city-funded 9-week CERT Academy.  CERT members are  trained by Coconut Creek's Fire Department and consist of over 100 members.  Throughout the year, the CERT team assists the city with first-aid during city-run events.

  • Annual CERT Meeting (Mandatory): Tuesday, May 14, 2013 from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM at the Coconut Creek Recreation Complex 4455 Sol Press Blvd, Coconut Creek, FL 33073

Academy Candidate Requirements

  • Resident of the City of Coconut Creek
  • 17 years of age or older
  • In good physical condition
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check

NEXT CERT ACADEMY BEGINS 8/26/13

CERT Academy 1303 will begin August 26, 2013. Classes will be held at the Coconut Creek Recreation Complex located at 4455 Sol Press Blvd, Coconut Creek, FL 33073. Classes will be from 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM. The class dates are:

Volunteers interested in CERT should complete the following PDF forms. Candidates should also send an email with "CERT Member" in the subject line. Please include your full name, address, subdivision and phone number.

Required FEMA Training for CERT Members

    These classes need to be completed prior to the first CERT class. The classes take approximately 2 hours and can be accessed through the following links:
