Coconut Creek has one of the lowest crime rates in South Florida. The Police Department plays a large part in everyday community life and helps provide a sense of order and safety that's necessary for a thriving city.

The Police Department participates in civic life through law enforcement services including bicycle patrols, general and special crime investigation, traffic control and regulation, and community involvement organizations.

The reception desk is open Monday - Thursday 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and Fridays 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., except holidays.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do we fingerprint?
Yes, but not for immigration purposes. The cost is $10.00 and you must supply the fingerprint card. Identification is required. Fingerprinting is done Monday through Thursday, from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm.

How can I get a police report?
Call the Police Records Department for instructions: 973-6708

How do I file a report?
In non-emergency situations, call 954-973-6700 and request a patrol car to respond to your home or business if it is within the Coconut Creek city limits. You may also appear at the Police Station to make a report.
