Mayor Becky Tooley Takes NWF’s “Mayors’ Monarch Pledge” 

Coconut Creek Mayor Becky Tooley took the National Wildlife Federation’s Mayors’ Monarch Pledge, committing to take numerous actions to help save the declining monarch butterfly population and other pollinators.   Among many steps, the City has already issued a proclamation, will produce a video, plant gardens, and give away milk weed seeds.

What You Can Do:


  • Create your own Monarch butterfly garden
  • Challenge your neighbors to plant a garden
  • Encourage your Homeowners Association to take the pledge






What The City Is Doing:


  • Issued a Proclamation

  • Giving away milkweed seeds
  • Re-establishing butterfly gardens
  • Producing a video and providing public education
  • Conducting workshops
