The City of Coconut Creek and Creek TV are proud to present the 2011 - 2012 Creek TV Student High School Partnership Program. The City recognizes the importance of training students in the area of Film/TV Production and Social Media. We desire to partner with you to simply provide another outlet for students to display their talents as well as encourage students to continue on the pathway of various Media Arts. Below is a list of four areas that students are welcome to participate during the 2011-2012 school year.

Creek TV would like to highlight student reporters from the City of Coconut Creek area high schools (One student from each area high school). These students will be chosen by the high school media department instructor. Each participating school will select one student to take part in a special Creek TV Student Reporter segment highlighting a special event happening in the community (i.e.- Halloween Blast, CocoFest, Butterfly Festival, and the 5K Run) There is a two fold purpose behind the Student Reporter Program. First, the student reporter will get a chance to practice their skills in a public setting and can keep the video for their personal portfolio. Second, the student reporter’s video will be given to the media departments to be used as a tool to encourage further growth in their programs.

CreekTV would like to see students creating videos that highlight a special student, teacher, function, or class within their high school. These videos can be in the format of reporting, biographies, or realty show style. These videos are welcome for submittal anytime throughout the 2011-2012 school year. Videos will be submitted through the media department instructor and must be in wmv or mov format. The media department instructor will simply place a call to John Hartzell, Media Production Specialist for the City of Coconut Creek, for pick up of all submitted videos.
