The CERT team is composed of community-minded volunteers who are interested in assisting the city and their neighbors before, during, and after a disaster. To become a CERT member, you must attend a city-funded 5-week CERT Academy. CERT members are trained by Coconut Creek Fire Rescue and the team consists of over 100 members. Throughout the year the CERT team assists the city with first-aid during city-run events.
